Overview
The Utility Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and performance of all utility systems within the facility. This includes managing personnel, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards, and coordinating with other departments to support uninterrupted plant operations. The role is crucial in maintaining efficiency, minimizing downtime, and ensuring optimal performance of all utility-related equipment and systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of utility technicians and maintenance personnel.
- Oversee the operation and maintenance of utility systems such as compressed air, water supply, wastewater treatment, HVAC, boilers, and generators.
- Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance plans.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
- Monitor utility system performance, identify inefficiencies, and recommend improvements.
- Prepare reports, maintenance logs, and system performance records.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Production, and other departments to support utility-related requirements.
- Assist in budgeting, procurement, and project planning related to utilities.
- Provide technical guidance and training to utility staff.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field.Relevant certifications (e.g., TESDA, HVAC, Boiler, or Wastewater Management) are an advantage.Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in utility systems maintenance or facilities management.At least 1–2 years in a supervisory or team lead role is preferred.Skills & Qualifications
Strong technical knowledge of utility systems and equipment.Ability to read technical drawings and manuals.Good leadership, communication, and team management skills.Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.Working knowledge of safety and environmental compliance standards.Proficient in MS Office and maintenance management systems (CMMS).Ability to work in industrial environments (heat, noise, confined spaces).Willingness to be on-call or work flexible hours as needed for emergency repairs or maintenance activities.Seniority level
