Overview
Directly reporting to the Lead Civil Design Manager, the Senior Utilities Engineer reviews utilities projects in the field of civil engineering including : Water supply systems Storm water drainage systems Sewerage systems Irrigation systems Responsibilities
Investigate field problems affecting property owners, contractors and maintenance operations due to necessary utility relocations. Review and approve plans related to the relocation of water supply, and wastewater collection and distribution lines. Coordinate assigned activities with consultants, engineers, developers, contractors, utility companies, other government offices and the civil defense. Develop plans, specifications, quantity survey, cost estimates, RFPs and other contract documents as needed. Prepare detailed requisitions for equipment and materials. Review supplier drawing submittals and perform technical bid analyses. Prepare and issue specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents. Provide technical guidance to CAD Designer / Drafters, Designers, and lower-level Engineers working on the same project. May be required to provide the seal and signature of the professional engineer, as appropriate, ensuring compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and ordinances. May act in an advisory capacity to senior management personnel on engineering related matters. Apply engineering knowledge to perform the design of pipelines, hydraulic and hydrologic analysis. Create, operate and maintain infrastructure master plan and mapping database. Represent the company, its projects, programs and policies with citizens, customers, the public and other government agencies. Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate. Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in civil engineering, environmental engineering, sanitary engineering or a related field of study. Over 8 years of related work experiences. Experience in using design software like Water Cad, Sewer Cad, Storm Cad, etc. A familiarity with International and local codes and standards for Al Riyadh. Skills / Competencies
Strong written and verbal communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills are a plus. Proficiency in utilizing CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering is desired. A familiarity with company policies and procedures is preferred, as well as a demonstrated ability to administer a variety of activities simultaneously, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
