Lead Civil Engineer

Overview Lead Civil Engineer role at Pace | Architecture, Engineering + Planning. This position oversees civil engineering aspects for large-scale building construction and supervises site work preparation, execution, verification, and contractor submissions to ensure effective implementation.

Responsibilities

Attend and / or chair discipline-related technical, operational and supply chain meetings as appropriate.

Coordinate communications with the Corporate central Department regarding technical issues and queries.

Guide and coordinate the submission and review of site methodology and inspection documents (MS, ITP, RA, IR, MIR, SAT, etc.), including review of comments from discipline team members.

Guide and coordinate the submission and review of supply chain documents (PQ, MAS, FAT), including review of comments from discipline team members.

Guide and coordinate the submission and review of technical documents (shop and as-built), including review of comments from discipline team members.

Prepare operational-related correspondence for RE / PD review.

Prepare technical and supply chain related correspondence for RE review.

Present review comments to RE / PD for further evaluation and endorsement to present back to the Contractor.

Provide technical support to related discipline Site Inspection Teams for operations and materials.

Receive site methodology, inspection and supply chain documents and distribute as appropriate among Discipline Team members.

Receive technical documents and distribute as appropriate among Discipline Team members.

Review and verify Submittals / Transmittals against contract requirements and project specifications.

Review technical and operational specifications and provide awareness to discipline team members.

Review technical specifications and provide awareness to discipline team members.

Required Experience

Over 15 years of experience in projects or as required by related supervision agreement.

Experience working with reputable consulting engineering firms.

Experience in large-scale building construction, infrastructure development and complex design.

Education

Civil engineering degree or related discipline.

Certifications & Memberships

Additional training courses, professional development with membership to professional groups, societies or institutes, desired.

Saudi Council of Engineers (SSE) Membership or any local engineer society membership (for hiring outside Kuwait) such as Saudi Society of Mechanical Engineers (in KSA), CRPEP (for Bahrain).

Essential Skills

Excellent understanding of technical aspects; high familiarity with specifications.

Knowledge of design will be an advantage.

Ability to provide solutions to resolve design issues.

Full knowledge of statutory authorities requirements, regulations, codes and submission requirements.

Ability to supervise site works and ensure effective execution.

Effective communication skills in English; Arabic is an advantage.

Ability to work with and develop client relationships.

Ability to coordinate and brief team members.

Proficiency with software and systems to provide updates and reports.

Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and meeting timelines.
