Role / Department

The Finance Country Head is responsible for the delivery of all Finance services in the Middle East with entities in Saudi Arabia and Abu Dhabi. The Finance Country Head is a key business partner and will work with Line of Business heads and functional leads to achieve Northern Trust\'s business goals in the region. Reporting into a member of the EMEA Finance Leadership Team, this role is located in Riyadh, KSA, and will support the delivery and oversight of all Finance functions. The successful candidate will have strong people management skills and provide effective oversight for financial processes outsourced to group affiliates. Prior Financial Service industry experience is of particular interest.

Responsibilities

• Oversight of all business finance activities, providing leadership and guidance to the planning, organization, direction and control of the Finance function, and serving the global finance function heads, regional management, regulators, tax authorities and other local stakeholders.
• Plan, oversee and direct the activities of the Finance function toward achieving the Corporation\'s objectives; timely briefing and reporting on Finance matters to management and appropriate governance bodies including Boards and Delegated Committees.
• Report to The Northern Trust Company of Saudi Arabia Board; manage the preparation and completion of all applicable financial statements and financial reports, including regulator submissions in KSA and Abu Dhabi.
• Ensure production and integrity of local financial information and regulatory reporting for regulated activities; support local payroll and related administration.
• Manage allocation and maintenance of capital, funding and liquidity.
• Understand and manage risk within the Finance function; ensure adequate control and governance arrangements.
• Ensure robust infrastructure, resources, systems and controls to comply with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, corporate policies and NT governance standards.
• Manage external relationships with regulators, external auditors and other key stakeholders and government bodies.
