Base pay range Job Description – QC Engineer Job Purpose Responsible for ensuring that QC Supervisors, Lab Technicians, and QC Inspectors perform their tasks to the required standards. Ensures that all raw materials used in production are properly tested prior to use and that final products meet established quality requirements.

Key Accountabilities

Production Quality Standards (Fittings) : Supervise subordinates to ensure all QC activities are efficient and compliant.

Verify that fitting manufacturing procedures meet applicable standards and client specifications.

Confirm use of approved raw materials to ensure product quality.

Inspect and test fittings prior to release and delivery.

Assist PED during production testing for new product lines and trials.

Third Party Inspections : Conduct third‑party inspections and review documentation for product release; ensure products meet customer requirements.

Product Qualification Tests (Fittings) : Calibrate all testing and measuring equipment; conduct product qualification tests in coordination with the QA Engineer; maintain and update product qualifications as per local and international regulations.

Non‑Conforming Product Control : Identify non‑conforming raw materials and coordinate corrective actions; identify and report substandard products to relevant departments; initiate corrective and preventive actions to ensure compliance and minimize loss.

Inventory : Monitor monthly store inventory checks for major raw materials; prepare and submit monthly stock reports to QA / QC & HSE Manager, Plant Manager, and General Manager.

Employee Effectiveness : Promote employee engagement and team collaboration; conduct annual performance appraisals and provide feedback; set annual objectives and targets for subordinates.

HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) : Comply with all safety, quality, and environmental procedures; use personal protective equipment while on duty; maintain cleanliness and organization in operational areas; report unsafe acts, incidents, or violations; support HSE culture and participate in audits and reviews.

Span of Communication : Internal – Plant Manager, QA / QC & HSE Manager, All Line Managers; External – Third Party Inspection Bodies, Customer Representatives, Suppliers.

Job‑Relevant Information : The jobholder has the authority to place end products on hold until required repairs or reworks are completed and approved.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills

Required Qualifications : Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Manufacturing, Mechanical, Chemical, or Industrial). Previous pipe manufacturing and QC experience. Fluency in English.

Preferred Experience : Minimum 5 years in QC within a medium to large manufacturing company. Experience in fiberglass applications.

Job‑Specific Skills : Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems; familiarity with international standards related to products; ability to read and interpret engineering drawings; skills : manufacturing, customer, materials.
