Brief Profile : The university was established upon the Royal decree dated 2009, which states to make a branch of King Saud University at Al Kharj to an independent university name Al Kharj University. Also, it stated to include all colleges in the provinces of Al Kharj, Addelam, Wadi Addawasir, Hotat Bani Tamim, Aflaj, Hariq, and Slayel. On 21 / 9 / 2011, the Rector of the university announced that the university name was changed upon a Royal decree to be Salman bin Abdul Aziz University. Then, on 1 / 3 / 2015 King Salman bin Abdul Aziz ordered that the university’s name be changed to Prince Sattam bin Abdul Aziz University.
