Security and Crowd Management - Operations Manager
ESM Operations are looking for a motivated Operations Manager to join our team based in Riyadh. This is a unique opportunity to work on some of the region’s biggest live events, leading day-to-day on-site operations while mentoring and training local staff in international best practice. Role Overview
As Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing daily on-site management, ensuring smooth and safe delivery of projects. You will mentor and develop local teams, implement improvements that enhance client satisfaction, and maintain accountability for your own workload in line with scheduled deadlines. The role requires flexibility, cultural awareness, and a proactive approach, with opportunities to travel globally and support other ESM projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day on-site operations across multiple projects.
- Mentor, train, and support local staff in public safety and operational best practice.
- Suggest and implement improvements to enhance client satisfaction.
- Deliver training to local workforce during operational deployments.
- Manage multiple priorities, delegating effectively to supervisors and following up.
- Write and maintain high-quality operational documentation, including Crowd Management Plans.
- Collaborate with colleagues across different regions and functions.
- Support ESM projects worldwide when required (role may vary by project).
Key Requirements
Minimum 5 years operational experience in the live music events industry.Minimum 2 years in a managerial role, preferably within live music.Level 5 Award in Crowd Safety Management (or equivalent)Experience delivering large-scale events.Experience writing Operational documents including but not limited to Security and Crowd Management Plans, Ejection and Warning Procedures, Prohibited Items and Search Procedures.Valid SIA License (minimum : Door Supervisor).Strong written and verbal communication skills.Excellent people management and soft skills.Ability to multitask and meet deadlines under pressure.Proactive mindset with excellent work ethic.Technically proficient with Word / Excel / PowerPoint.Culturally aware and adaptable to international work environments.Valid passport and ability to travel worldwide.Valid driving licence and international driving permit.ESM Benefits
