Site Engineer (Electrical / Mechanical Engineer)
Manufacturer and maintenance engineering role in the energy sector, responsible for evaluating mechanical systems, troubleshooting, and ensuring quality and safety on‑site.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate mechanical systems and products by conducting research programs and applying principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, hydraulics, heat transfer, and materials science.
- Understand the scope of any SD / TA long‑term contract.
- Manage references and documentation at sites to optimize and improve processes.
- Identify issues during operations and perform immediate troubleshooting.
- Inspect items, equipment, and machines before and after every shutdown or project.
- Prepare materials lists required for proper maintenance and ensure timely procurement.
- Confirm system and product capabilities through appropriate testing methods and property verification.
- Coordinate and manage internal and interdisciplinary work interfaces, ensuring cost‑effective execution.
- Perform maintenance of oil and gas equipment—both rotating and static—according to the defined scope of work.
- Organize and execute maintenance activities as per the maintenance schedule and erection sequencing.
- Develop mechanical and electromechanical solutions based on client requirements through research, testing, and operator observations.
- Improve maintenance processes by designing or modifying equipment required for fabrication, assembly, and installation.
- Ensure system and product quality by designing testing methods, verifying finished‑product capabilities, and validating fabrication, assembly, and installation processes.
- Prepare maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing technical information and trends.
- Provide engineering support by responding to client questions, technical requests, and operational concerns.
- Maintain product and company reputation by enforcing quality standards.
- Keep equipment operational by and repair services, following manufacturer instructions, and arranging special services when needed.
- Maintain system and product databases by writing or updating computer programs and entering required data.
- Complete projects by training, guiding, and supervising technicians.
- Contribute to team objectives by supporting related tasks when needed.
- Ensure a safe working environment on‑site and maintain quality levels in all aspects per company and client standards.
- Ensure maintenance activities comply with maintenance procedures and HSE policies.
- Provide weekly and monthly reports to the Planning and Technical Support Manager.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.At least 5 years of relevant experience in a similar field (maintenance, oil & gas, mechanical / electrical systems).Core Skills & Requirements
