Manager - System and Backup

Qiddiya Investment Company is seeking a talented and experienced Manager - Backup & Restore Management to lead our backup and disaster recovery operations. This role is pivotal in ensuring the integrity, security, and availability of critical data across the organization. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing effective backup and recovery strategies that align with our business continuity objectives.

Key Responsibilities :

• Develop and implement comprehensive backup and restore strategies to protect organizational data and ensure business continuity.
• Manage daily operations of backup systems and monitoring tools, ensuring timely and successful completion of backups.
• Establish and maintain backup policies, procedures, and documentation, including schedules, retention, and recovery testing.
• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure proper configuration and optimization of backup solutions across all environments (on-premises, hybrid, and cloud).
• Conduct regular testing of backup and restore processes to ensure data accuracy and recovery point objectives (RPO) and recovery time objectives (RTO) are met.
• Ensure compliance with security policies and industry regulations concerning data backup and storage.
• Investigate and resolve backup failures, issues, and incidents, analyzing root causes and implementing preventive measures.
• Monitor data growth and storage utilization, making recommendations for appropriate scaling and optimization of backup infrastructure.
• Lead disaster recovery planning and execute recovery drills to validate effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
• Provide training and support to IT staff regarding backup and restore policies and procedures.
• Maintain vendor relationships, ensuring service levels for backup solutions are met, and oversee procurement as necessary.
• Prepare and present reports on backup and restore operations, including performance metrics, incident reports, and improvement opportunities to senior management.
