Position Overview As an Advanced Placement (AP) Teacher at Riyadh Schools, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exemplary instruction across one or more Advanced Placement courses. Your primary objective will be to ensure that students are not only academically adept but also well-equipped to meet the rigorous demands of AP exams. The position holder will have a profound understanding of the subject matter, demonstrated expertise in innovative instructional methodologies, and a fervent commitment to fostering critical thinking skills in our students.

Key Responsibilities

Curriculum Development :

Spearhead the development, refinement, and enrichment of the AP curriculum. Stay abreast of the latest advancements in the subject area. Infuse contemporary content into the curriculum. Craft comprehensive, year-long AP course plans. Collaborate seamlessly with departmental colleagues. Leverage innovative technology and innovative pedagogical approaches.

Instructional Delivery :

Provide engaging and challenging instruction to students. Differentiate instruction to accommodate various learning styles. Utilize a variety of instructional strategies. Implement project-based learning. Encourage student understanding and application of course concepts. Incorporate formative assessment techniques. Promote self-directed learning. Facilitate student collaboration.

Assessment and Evaluation :

Implement formative, continuous, and summative assessments. Prepare students for AP exams. Analyze assessment data to inform instructional decisions. Support student success through data-driven decision-making. Develop a variety of assessment tools. Encourage self-assessment and reflection. Promote a growth mindset.

Instruction and Classroom Management :

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in the relevant subject area, (master's degree and AP certification preferred).

Demonstrated track record of successful teaching experience, with a focus on AP courses.

Expertise in and a thorough understanding of College Board AP program requirements.

State or provincial certification / licensure for teaching at the secondary level.

Proven success in improving student performance on AP exams.
