We are looking for a dynamic and driven individual to join our team as a Co-op Business Development Assistant. This role is ideal for someone who is eager to learn about the insurance industry, develop strong business development skills, and gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced brokerage environment. The successful candidate will work closely with our business development and brokerage teams to identify and secure new business opportunities.
Responsibilities
Conduct market research to identify potential clients and new business opportunities.
Assist in prospecting and outreach efforts to generate leads and build a pipeline of new clients.
Support the preparation and delivery of compelling presentations and proposals to prospective clients.
Learn about insurance products, policies, and industry regulations to effectively communicate value propositions.
Maintain accurate records of lead generation activities and client interactions in the CRM system.
Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and customer visits to enhance knowledge and skills.
Provide support in preparing reports and analyzing data to track business development progress.
Requirements
Education : Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program (Business, Marketing, Finance, or related field preferred).
Language Skills : Fluent in English (written and verbal).
Presentation Skills : Strong ability to create and deliver engaging presentations.
Willingness to Learn : Demonstrated interest in the insurance industry and a proactive attitude toward learning.
Communication Skills : Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with potential clients.
Team Player : Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Tech-Savvy : Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
