The Facilities Manager will be responsible for all west Sort center operations facilities planning, and for managing our 3rd party service providers for maintenance and facilities services.
Responsibilities
- Drive the HI project, Project Elevate and HK SOP standardization activity in the west region as per project Elevate guidelines.
- Oversee overall building and facilities maintenance (reliability, performance, cost, etc.).
- Manage equipment maintenance (trolleys, conveyors, work stations, labeling machines, PLC control systems, electrical systems, etc.) by leading a team of 3rd party technicians.
- Develop and apply preventive maintenance routines on equipment.
- Develop and implement vendor AMCs with appropriate service levels for equipment.
- Coordinate required material purchasing with the Procurement Team.
- Develop and implement spare parts identification and maintain stock levels.
- Provide feedback and analysis on equipment performance and availability.
- Manage day-to-day issues on equipment with Operations, define priorities with Operations, and organize work with the maintenance team.
- Lead a team of maintenance technicians and 3rd party facilities service providers; define goals, priorities, staff planning, and training to ensure service levels.
- Maintain a safe work environment by applying the Amazon Safety Policy and collaborating with the Safety team to improve on-site safety.
- Ensure 5S standards for site housekeeping.
- Support the Engineering team for installation of new equipment.
- Be a leader within the group and across teams; provide positive and creative solutions.
- Provide immediate technical guidance to operations during critical events.
- Have a constructive, collaborative attitude and contribute to a positive work culture.
Key job responsibilities
Candidate should be aware of HVAC systems and have solid knowledge of execution. He is the POC for the west region to drive Heat Index projects, Project Elevate, and standardization of SOPs in the west region by coordinating all stakeholders.
Basic Qualifications
Qualification & Experience :
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical / Mechanical / Controls Engineering or Diploma holder (Engineer preferred) with equivalent experience.4+ cumulative years of experience in industrial or commercial engineering in mission-critical facilities.Significant experience in a similar role in fast-paced industrial, logistics, production, or manufacturing environments.Results-oriented with strong analytical, team leadership, and organizational skills.Ability to work under pressure in a cross-functional organization; able to work with minimal supervision.Electrical and Mechanical background; experience in installation, commissioning and operations of electrical distribution systems (HT & LT), HVAC installation, fire alarm and suppression systems, general building MEP systems, material handling and conveyors.Experience managing subcontractors to ensure quality of work; troubleshooting, fault-finding, and repairs.Ability to read technical drawings and manuals; prior supervisory experience.Computer skills (MS Office required, CMMS, AutoCAD preferred).Preferred Qualifications
BE or Diploma in Electrical / Electronics with more than 4 years of experience in warehousing, building services, manufacturing, maintenance of utilities and buildings, automation & controls.
