Planning Engineer - OHL

Planning Engineer - Electrical with 10 years of experience in execution of EHV Over Head Transmission Line projects, preferably in the Middle East.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed programme for construction activities of the project.
• Understand the true scope and requirements of the project.
• Coordinate with Civil, Electrical & Mechanical Construction Programme.
• Prepare manpower resources schedules and histograms to achieve timely completion of the project.
• Prepare equipment / material procurement schedule.
• Coordinate and assist Project Manager for timely ordering of material and equipment.
• Prepare and submit daily, weekly and monthly reports.
• Prepare work plans and short-term look-ahead programmers as required by the contract.
• Monitor the progress of works at site and highlight problems to the PM / CM as required.
• Monitor and maintain tracking logs for material and drawing submittals.
• Develop detailed programme for Testing & Commissioning System.
• Attend project progress review meetings with Project Manager and assist as required.
• Coordinate with project team members to deliver material submittals on time.
• Select appropriate suppliers to satisfy specific techno-commercial requirements.
• Source alternative and new materials to achieve cost-effectiveness for the customer.
• Develop new vendors.
• Train and develop the team on technical, commercial, and negotiation skills through seminars.
• Deliver monthly reports to management on the status of all jobs.
• Obtain approval from management for ordering major items.
