Senior Accounting Manager

Responsibilities

• Recommend changes through continuous improvement of departmental systems, processes, and practices aligned with global standards.
• Implement departmental policies and procedures to fulfill legislative requirements and deliver consistent, cost-effective service.
• Participate in implementing departmental strategy aligned with divisional strategy and corporate objectives.
• Manage day-to-day transactions through Oracle Financials General Ledger module.
• Act as first point of contact for General Ledger queries.
• Deliver reports and reconciliations on schedule.
• Define and maintain chart of accounts, accounting calendar, and journal templates in Oracle Financials.
• Assist with journal approval setup, security rules, and application responsibilities.
• Perform journal reversals and reconcile General Ledger.
• Generate reports and perform month-end close activities.
• Ensure timely approval and processing of journals.
• Maintain accurate records of reconciliations.
• Perform comparative analysis and clear reconciling items promptly.
• Provide management reporting and support Head of Accounting.
• Review period-end reports for internal financial reporting.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement.
• Ensure compliance with reporting standards and best practices.
• Coordinate with external auditors for timely audit completion.
• Support internal auditors with transaction recording.
• Guide subordinates and ensure equitable workload distribution.
• Prepare and submit PIF reports.
• Review English / Arabic financial statements and annual report with Board Secretary.
• Analyze historical data and audit committee presentations.
• Recommend accounting treatment for complex issues.
• Contribute to Accounting Department KPIs.
• Review monthly bank reconciliations.
