Position Overview The Strategic Planning Manager Sr will serve as the Subject Matter Expert for planning and development of an overall program to assess current assets and capability (as is) with needs and requirements (to be) to determine what devices and simulators / simulation would best benefit MoD forces. The Strategic Planning Manager Sr will Coach Advise and Assist in Developing an MoD Program to develop capability and meet requirements that will strengthen the skills required to successfully perform KSA mission requirements. The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in the U.S. military achieving success in general management and leadership and demonstrated experience or knowledge in US Combatant Command level.
Responsibilities
Develop an executable Program Plan
Develop mission Objectives Functions and Tasks that identify and define the KSA specific criteria for success.
Establish As Is and determine To Be architecture responsibilities processes inputs and outputs required etc.
Identify the initial Training Simulation requirements and an Initial Training Requirements document.
Develop Strategic Program for structural operational and administrative requirements and control relationships.
Develop an Establishment Plan to include structure and details for Initial resourcing and implementation.

Minimum Requirements
Excellent Microsoft PowerPoint Word and Excel capabilities
Superior written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated effective leadership
Comfortable in a dynamic work environment
Proven abilities to instruct communicate and engage with senior military and defense officials
15 years of military experience inclusive of not less than 3 years of deployed staff experience
Task Force Division or higher including service equivalent staff time
Ability to assess manning requirements organization procedures and operations processes
Ability to assess and develop processes and procedures for support functions and support to a Joint unit staff
Ability to assess and develop internal processes and procedures within a Joint Command
Previous experience executing operations in a Joint or Combined environment
Experience with a frontend analysis and Training Objectives
Experience in designing joint education and training courses
Graduate degree in International Affairs Organizational Structure Organizational Management from an accredited College or University; Joint Forces Staff College graduate or instructor
Specialized Planning or Operations course graduate
Professional Certifications or Accreditations to support combat operations staff processes
Previous operational experience during Coach Advise Assist and Mentor missions with foreign countries and nationals from third world countries in overseas locations
Knowledge of concepts principles and fundamentals related to joint operations including the development and implementation of joint exercises
Secret Security Clearance
Preferred Skills & Knowledge
Former Department of Defense Military Officer (MAJ or higher) Senior Noncommissioned Officer (MSG or higher) or Chief Warrant Officer (CW3 or higher) or service equivalent. Served on a staff for a deployed Army service equivalent or Joint Task Force unit
Professional training Certifications or Accreditations to support combat operations staff processes
Direct experience in a coaching Advise Assist or Mentor role with a foreign military
Experience on a brigade level (Service equivalent) or higher staff
Physical Demands
Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards
Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions. Required to walk in heat / humidity
Must have the ability to lift and carry up to 10 pounds occasionally and walk short distances
Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists hands and / or fingers
Have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as : preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing : viewing a computer monitor; extensive reading
Must be able to travel on long international flights and carry travel bags / luggage
