Supervisor, Laboratory Chemist

This role oversees laboratory personnel, equipment performance, and laboratory deliverables while ensuring strict adherence to quality and safety standards. Additionally, the role involves project management responsibilities, including coordinating equipment supply, installation, and staffing to support efficient laboratory setup and operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily laboratory activities to ensure efficient workflow, timely analysis, and accurate test results.
• Lead, train, and evaluate laboratory staff to maintain high performance and professional discipline.
• Oversee laboratory equipment procurement, installation, calibration, and preventative maintenance.
• Ensure full compliance with company safety rules, environmental regulations, and laboratory best practices.
• Manage sourcing and mobilization of competent laboratory manpower in alignment with project requirements.
• Implement and maintain laboratory quality assurance and quality control (QA / QC) procedures.
• Review and validate test reports, project deliverables, and analytical results for accuracy and reliability.
• Maintain proper documentation, record-keeping, and reporting in accordance with audit and accreditation requirements.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to support project timelines and operational goals.
• Identify and resolve technical or operational issues, ensuring minimal disruption to laboratory workflow.
• Support budget control, material planning, and resource utilization for cost-effective laboratory operations.
