Overview
Architectural Engineer - MRF 25081 role at HanmiGlobal Middle East. Role involves on-site diary, supervision, reporting, and coordination of drawings and materials.
Responsibilities
- Maintains daily diaries of events associated with the work onsite using the HANMI GLOBAL-related form.
- Supervises subordinate staff in the execution of their responsibilities.
- Monitors, reviews, comments, and reports on progress payments, quality control, and safety.
- Logs and monitors all Contractors' submittals (correspondence and shop drawings) to assure timely response, and processes change and field orders for review by the Resident Engineer (RE).
- Prepares necessary draft correspondence for final approval by the RE.
- Assists with pre-tender and pre-construction activities for contracts relative to the site and provides input for all change orders and claims analysis.
- Holds daily meetings with the contractor's representative.
- Prepares Weekly Progress Reports and assists in preparing Monthly Progress Reports as required by HANMI GLOBAL forms.
- Reviews and approves As Built Drawings for final approval by the RE; assists in preparing the Final Acceptance and Completion Report.
- Reviews and presents the Contractor's Valuations; prepares / payments for final approval by the RE; witnesses and supervises commissioning and start-up activities; studies and comments on the Contractor's Claims.
- Reviews drawings and general conditions of the contract; identifies and communicates discrepancies to the RE.
- Reviews the Contractor CPM Program Schedule and proposed material procurement schedule; discusses comments with the RE / Quantity Surveyor (Q.S.) for action.
- Reviews proposed materials, samples and literature against contracts, specifications, drawings, and B.O.Q.; finalizes comments in consultation with the RE.
- Reviews all other disciplines' requirements related to his work.
- Reviews shop drawings against contract drawings, specifications, B.O.Q., and approved materials; ensures shop drawings reflect approved materials and manufacturer standards.
- Resolves coordination problems raised by other engineers; assists others in checking their disciplines; discusses and resolves queries with the Contractor regarding discipline, materials installation, and detailing.
- Approves installation mockups at the site or material source following approval of materials and shop drawing review; reviews and approves shop drawings submitted by the contractor.
