Responsibilities

We envisage success in this role to include :

• Demonstrating extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in mechanical engineering processes related to large-scale infrastructure and building projects.
• Proven expertise in mechanical design development, review, and coordination , ensuring compliance with project requirements, codes, and standards.
• Providing strong leadership to guide, mentor, and supervise the mechanical engineering team, fostering collaboration and high performance.
• Ability to make informed, high-level project decisions and liaise effectively with clients, consultants, contractors, and local authorities.
• Familiarity with DM General Conditions of Contract, Quality Assurance procedures, Quantity Surveying principles, and Project Network Techniques .
• Strong technical writing and communication skills (English), with demonstrated ability to prepare clear instructions, specifications, reports, and cost estimates.
• Competence in using relevant engineering and project management tools, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Microsoft Project .
• Proven ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and drive deliverables to meet deadlines.
• Guiding the efforts of the team in reviewing and validating mechanical designs , providing technical feedback, and ensuring optimal solutions are delivered.

Qualifications

Minimum 20 years of experience
