Solution Specialist

Overview

We are looking for a skilled technical pre-sales specialist to join our Segment team and drive the adoption of EcoStruxure Automation Expert. You will work closely with our global sales teams to provide technical expertise and solutions guidance to customers and partners. We seek a self-motivated, driven individual with a "must win" mindset. You should be able to work independently and as part of a team. You must be an early adopter and bring technical intensity to drive sales growth. While this is a technical role, you must understand the role of technical teams in the sales cycle. Key Responsibilities

Sales Enablement :

Support the sales team in winning customers and projects. Provide solution support to internal teams and external parties, including manufacturers, system integrators, and end users. Assist customers in developing their own solutions. Customer Engagement :

Understand customer challenges and tailor solutions. Conduct discovery sessions, workshops, and roadmap discussions. Lead proof-of-concept projects and pilot deployments. Engage with executive stakeholders to define automation strategies. Technical Ownership :

Design and build solution architecture. Create technical documentation and guides. Validate large-scale projects. Optimize system architecture and scalability. Training and Advocacy :

Support training needs. Create white papers, best practice guides, and case studies. Represent the company in industry forums. Develop technical marketing content. Sales Support :

Provide technical pre-sales expertise to accelerate sales growth. Customer Collaboration :

Define and implement automation systems for customers. Solution Development :

Identify customer needs and offer solutions. Demonstration :

Explain and demonstrate the benefits of proposed systems. Innovation :

Create solutions architecture and demos to support sales. Demos :

Build and maintain demo areas. Personalize demos to customer needs. Handle Q&A. Workshops :

Host training sessions. Apply design guidelines. Address challenges. System Architectures :

Design, implement, and test solutions. Present outcomes to customers. Simplify Complexity :

Develop solutions to simplify customer experience. Verify and validate solutions. Project Support :

Assist customers and integrators in project execution. Ensure customer satisfaction. Documentation :

Document processes and changes. Create use cases and success stories. Share knowledge. Educational and Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields. Experience :

Background in embedded software engineering with a strong IT focus is advantageous. Knowledge :

Knowledge of Industrial Internet of Things and the convergence between IT and operational technology. Technical Skills :

Experience with object-oriented programming, Windows and Linux development, Docker / Kubernetes / Swarm, virtualization, event-driven methodology, and C# programming for human-machine interface integration. Networking :

Networking experience with LAN, WAN, VLAN, managed switches, routers, and communication protocols such as TCP / IP, Modbus, EthernetIP, Profinet, HTTPS, and MQTT. Industrial Applications :

Ability to develop code and design system architecture for industrial applications on the factory floor and plant to control equipment and processes. Industrial Protocols :

Hands-on knowledge of Modbus, OPC UA, MQTT, PROFINET, and EtherNet / IP. Automation Expertise :

Deep expertise in programmable logic controller programming, supervisory control and data acquisition / distributed control systems, and industrial networking. Experience :

Extensive experience in designing and deploying large-scale automation solutions. Communication :

Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to simplify complex technical concepts for engineers, customers, and executives. Presentation :

Strong communication and presentation skills, with experience engaging both technical and business audiences. Experience :
