Senior Expert Solutions Architect

Carter Murray is partnering with a leading entity in Saudi Arabia to appoint a Sr. Expert Solutions Architect - Transmission Network Planning & Data Centers.

This is a senior-level strategic role focused on designing and optimizing large-scale telecom infrastructure and mission-critical data centers that support the backbone of the national power grid. The successful candidate will lead architecture and planning initiatives for secure, resilient, and scalable infrastructure supporting SCADA, EMS, PMU, CCTV, VoIP, IoT, and smart grid services.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design and optimization of MPLS-TP, DWDM, SDH, OTN, and IP / MPLS transmission networks.

Architect high‑availability telecom backbones supporting mission‑critical services.

Define and implement Tier‑3 / Tier‑4 data center standards, including redundancy and disaster recovery.

Oversee data center interconnects (DCI) using DWDM / OTN / MPLS technologies.

Develop strategies for virtualization, cloud adoption, SDN / NFV, and workload optimization.

Ensure compliance with cybersecurity frameworks (Zero Trust, NIST, ISO 27001) and internal policies.

Collaborate with IT and cybersecurity teams to establish secure, segregated data center networks.

Provide technical advisory to senior leadership on telecom and data center investments.

Lead feasibility studies, CAPEX / OPEX planning, and long‑term technology roadmaps.

Evaluate vendor solutions and guide engineering teams on global best practices.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, or related field.

16+ years of experience in telecom transmission networks and data center design, ideally within the power or energy sector.

Deep expertise in MPLS-TP, DWDM, OTN, IP / MPLS, and data center networking.

Strong knowledge of virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper‑V, KVM) and cloud‑native architectures.

Proven experience in disaster recovery, high availability, and capacity planning.

Preferred Certifications

CCNP / CCIE, JNCIE

AWS / Azure / GCP Solutions Architect

Data Center Certifications

PMP / PRINCE2
