Job Title : Senior Procurement Manager - Direct (Beef, Poultry, Mutton & Trade Items)

Reports to : COO Frozen Solutions

Job Purpose

The Senior Procurement Manager plays a pivotal role in developing and executing the procurement strategy for Poultry, Beef, Mutton, and Trade Items (French Fries, Vegetables, Pastries), ensuring a resilient supply chain, cost efficiency, and uncompromising quality standards across entities.

Overseeing a $350 million spend, 1,700 SKUs, and 300 suppliers, this role demands strong negotiation skills, proactive risk management, and strategic cost control to optimize procurement performance. Additionally, the Senior Procurement Manager is responsible for local purchases in KSA & UAE, working closely with internal stakeholders to align sourcing strategies with business objectives, drive operational efficiency, and foster category growth.

Key Accountabilities

Strategic

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive procurement strategy for Poultry, Beef, Mutton, and Trade Items, ensuring supply security, cost optimization, and quality excellence.
  • Drive cost savings and operational efficiencies while maintaining compliance with quality and regulatory standards.
  • Strengthen supplier relationships, negotiate competitive contracts, and explore alternative sourcing solutions to enhance supply chain resilience.
  • Align category procurement strategies with business objectives, financial targets, and market trends to drive sustained growth.
  • Partner with Supply Chain, R&D, and Finance to improve cost structures, support product innovation, and enhance sourcing agility.

Operational

  • Lead complex supplier negotiations to secure optimal pricing, payment terms, and service levels.
  • Oversee supplier performance management, ensuring on-time delivery, quality adherence, and risk mitigation.
  • Identify and proactively address supply chain risks, implementing contingency plans to safeguard business continuity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support new product development, ensuring seamless integration of sourcing strategies.
  • People

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of two direct reports, fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Communication & Working Relationship

  • Internal Communication : COO, CFO, Supply Chain Director, Marketing, Category Leaders, Procurement Team Members, Finance Business Partners, Category Heads, Legal, Quality, R&D, Audit.
  • External Communication : Suppliers, Service Providers, Auditors, Customs, Port Authorities, Consultants, Regulatory Agencies.
  • Qualification, Experience and Skills

  • Education : Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Procurement, Business Administration, or a related field. A master's degree or relevant specialization is a plus.
  • Experience : Minimum 7+ years of procurement experience must be in FMCG, Meat, poultry or Frozen Foods, with a proven track record in strategic sourcing and supplier management.
  • Procurement Expertise : Strong negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship management skills, with the ability to drive cost efficiencies and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Technical Proficiency : Hands-on experience with Procurement ERP systems such as Coupa, SAP, Oracle, and data analytics tools for cost modeling and market analysis.
  • Certifications : MCIPS, CPSM, or equivalent procurement certification preferred, demonstrating a commitment to procurement excellence.
  • Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills : Ability to analyze complex procurement data, identify cost-saving opportunities, and develop actionable sourcing strategies.
  • Financial Acumen : Strong understanding of cost structures, budgeting, and financial impact assessment in procurement decisions.
  • Stakeholder Management : Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Supply Chain, R&D, Finance, and Operations, ensuring procurement strategies align with business goals.
  • Leadership & People Management : Experience in leading, mentoring, and developing teams, fostering a high-performance culture within procurement functions.
  • Adaptability & Innovation : Proactive mindset with the ability to adapt to changing market conditions, explore alternative sourcing strategies, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
