We are seeking a
Safety Management Coordinator
as part of our DB Engineering & Consulting GmbH Branch Office. The job opening is located in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and offers exciting challenges and potential for career growth.
Responsibilities
Responsible for supporting the planning, implementation, and oversight of safety programs, policies, and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
This role assists in maintaining compliance with all applicable health, safety, and environmental regulations, and promotes a proactive safety culture across all levels of the organization.
Assist in the development, implementation, and enforcement of health and safety policies and procedures.
Monitor workplace environments to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations (OSHA, EPA, etc.).
Conduct regular safety inspections and audits; identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
Participate in the investigation of accidents, incidents, and near misses; document findings and implement corrective measures.
Maintain accurate records of safety-related incidents, training, and inspections.
Coordinate and deliver safety training programs, toolbox talks, and orientations for new hires and contractors.
Support the development of emergency response plans and conduct drills.
Collaborate with various departments to ensure safety considerations are integrated into daily operations and project planning.
Analyze safety data and prepare reports for management review.
Keep up-to-date with industry best practices, regulations, and innovations in workplace safety.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in occupational health & safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Engineering or related field.
Additional safety Professional Certification is an advantage.
Minimum 2+ years’ experience in the railway industry is an advantage.
Experience in safety related matters.
Strong crisis decision-making and situational awareness.
Familiarity with multi-agency services (e.g., Civil Defence, Police, Health Services).
GCC experience is advantageous.
Fluent in both Arabic (preferred) & English language. Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, are essential to success in this role.
Good command in MS Office Applications, MS Teams, MS Office Suite and Share Point Online.
Driving license required to receive / deliver submissions from / to the client’s office and other location.
