Job descriptionManage and oversee all accounting activities related to construction contracts, including billing, cost tracking, and revenue recognition.Prepare, review, and analyze contract budgets, forecasts, and financial reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.Coordinate with project managers and site teams to monitor project costs, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions.Ensure timely and accurate invoicing to clients and follow up on outstanding payments to maintain healthy cash flow.Review and process subcontractor invoices, ensuring alignment with contract terms and project milestones.Maintain detailed records of all contract modifications, change orders, and related financial documentation.Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries related to contract accounting.Collaborate with procurement and legal teams to review contract terms and ensure financial compliance.Support month-end and year-end closing processes by preparing journal entries and reconciliations related to contract accounts.Continuously improve accounting processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy in contract management.Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Minimum of 3 years and maximum of 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably within the construction or contracting industry.Strong understanding of contract accounting principles and practices.Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.Experience with cost tracking, budgeting, and financial reporting for construction projects.Knowledge of relevant tax laws, regulations, and compliance standards.Demonstrated integrity and professionalism in handling confidential financial information.
