Supply Chain Planning Manager

The Supply Chain Planning Manager will be responsible for managing supply across the planning horizon, overseeing all elements of material flow including production, raw materials, outplants, site logistics, and contract manufacturing. The role involves managing exceptions in real time. This position also entails managing production, purchasing, warehousing, distribution, and financial forecasting activities to limit costs and improve accuracy, customer service, and safety. The role requires customer focus, strong decision-making, agility, and excellent communication skills to effectively manage supply across multiple functions and geographies. Additionally, the manager will oversee the performance of the client's network of supply points. Responsibilities and Tasks

Determine appropriate equipment and staffing levels for loading, unloading, moving, or storing materials. Manage activities related to strategic or tactical purchasing, material requirements planning, inventory control, warehousing, and receiving. Select transportation routes to maximize economy through shipment consolidation and warehousing / distribution optimization. Define performance metrics for evaluating supply chain factors such as product cost and quality. Implement new or improved supply chain processes to enhance efficiency and performance. Develop procedures for coordinating supply chain management with sales, marketing, finance, production, and quality assurance. Forecast demand and create supply plans in collaboration with supply chain planners to ensure material and product availability. Analyze inventories to increase turnover, reduce waste, and optimize customer service. Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers, vendors, and freight forwarders. Collaborate with team members to develop transportation plans for goods and personnel. Develop storage facility plans for warehouses and storage yards used by other departments. Coordinate shipping schedules and routes with transportation providers to ensure timely and damage-free delivery. Manage inventory and supervise staff responsible for inventory control, including procurement of new stock. Plan and coordinate internal movement of materials and products using advanced computer systems. Ensure proper labeling of shipping containers with addresses, contents, and weights. Coordinate with customs officials to meet legal requirements for shipments. Train staff on shipping techniques, safety procedures, and hazardous materials handling. Develop and implement tracking systems for real-time shipment monitoring. Communicate with suppliers and shipping providers regarding documentation and follow-up. Manage daily, monthly, and quarterly reports. Plan and oversee storage of stock in warehouses by categories, applying FIFO processes. Monitor and manage production and purchase plans based on sales trends. Education and Competency

Bachelor’s degree in logistics, business, or a related field preferred. Courses in business, economics, accounting, finance, statistics, and computer science are advantageous. Proficiency in Saber process is essential. Minimum 4 years of logistics and shipping experience required. ERP system knowledge. Strong analytical skills. Key Skills and Competencies

Excellent communication skills in both Arabic and English, reading and speaking.
