Database Administrator (DBA)

is responsible for managing and maintaining an organization's database systems to ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability. The DBA ensures data integrity, implements security measures, and optimizes database functionality to support business operations.

Responsibilities

Administer and maintain

Microsoft SQL Server databases

across production and staging environments

Implement and manage

Always On Availability Groups

to ensure high system uptime

Perform ongoing

performance tuning and monitoring , optimizing queries and database structure

Design and execute

backup and recovery strategies

using RMAN, native SQL backup, clustering, and replication techniques

Ensure

high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR)

configurations are in place and validated

Conduct routine

database patching and version upgrades

while maintaining service continuity

Apply comprehensive

data protection strategies

including

TDE (Transparent Data Encryption), SSL , and

data masking

for regulatory compliance and security best practices

Qualifications

Minimum of

10 years experience

in enterprise-level database administration

In-depth expertise in

MS SQL Server technologies

and HA / DR architectures

Hands-on experience with performance troubleshooting using SQL Profiler, DMVs, or other tools

Strong knowledge of

database security , encryption, and regulatory protocols

Excellent communication and documentation skills across technical and non-technical teams
