The Quality Engineer provides assurance that the quality management system is adequate, effectively implemented and enables the delivery of expected results. This role ensures requirements are met to achieve the effective and efficient delivery of the Client mission at best value, identifies improvements, and facilitates the delivery of quality improvements for sustained benefit. The Quality Engineer plans, evaluates, verifies, and certifies quality, proposing and embedding improvements where necessary to ensure delivery is effective, minimizes cost and / or consequences of failure, and meets stakeholder and project specifications and requirements. They deploy QA / QC activities to support right-first-time delivery and implement quality improvement plans aligned with objectives, capturing and sharing learning to improve quality performance. Technical Duties

Establishing Management Systems

Develop, maintain, improve and coach the use of local management systems to enable effective delivery Verify that quality requirements are adequately specified and complied with at project, facility / operations level, within the Client and in the supplier chain Planning for quality

Interface with key stakeholders to promote a joined-up approach to quality and safety across Client Assess supplier capability to meet specified requirements and participate in Evaluation Boards as necessary Engage with relevant disciplines to translate requirements and expectations, considering risks and learning from experience; contribute to supplier opening-up meetings Work with integrated teams to prepare and implement quality plans and inspection plans, coordinating surveillances to monitor quality standards Review and accept relevant documentation including supply chain quality submissions Define quality and lifetime record strategies to ensure an auditable product / service that meets specifications Promote the Client Quality Policy and support a healthy quality culture, owning quality as a critical enabler to energy safety and operational delivery Assist in delivering appropriate energy safety training where required Applying quality assurance and control

Define and implement QA / QC activities (measurement, monitoring, verification, validation, certification) to deliver expected results Coach others on quality tools and practices to achieve right-first-time outcomes Analyse QA / QC outputs to ensure conformance and engage with teams to determine solutions Liaise with quality control and technical service providers to deliver objectives Communicate quality performance to line management to enable effective decisions and actions Monitoring, measuring, auditing, and reviewing

Develop and implement audit / assurance and surveillance programmes; plan and carry out assessments Test that specification requirements cascade within the business area and supply chain Use tools and KPIs / dashboards to monitor quality performance and process effectiveness Provide oversight and assurance of the quality management system and advise users on quality matters Support the Head of Division with facilitation of 3rd party and certification audits Driving continuous improvement

Capture and share lessons learned for continual quality improvement Apply improvement tools and methodologies to analyze problems and deliver beneficial solutions Investigate quality-related concerns, determine corrective / preventive actions, and escalate where needed Identify and implement quality improvements and influence management to enact changes Monitor close-out of actions and evaluate effectiveness of changes Reporting

Prepare the Quality Management Department’s progress reports in a timely and accurate manner Support periodical progress reporting to the Division Head to inform top management and aid decision making Qualifications

5-8 years of quality management experience (5 years in an Operational or Project role within energy). Academic Certificate : Minimum : CQI Diploma (Level 5) or international equivalent Preferred : Bachelor’s degree in engineering or physical sciences related to Quality Management or a professional qualification Lower-level qualifications may be considered for candidates with substantial professional work experience in quality-related roles. Courses / Certificates : Minimum : Qualified internal QA auditor Preferred : ISO 9001 : 2015 Qualified Lead Auditor Membership of CQI or other relevant professional body (e.g., ASQ) Additional information

Security clearance : This role requires a minimum of Security Check (SC) clearance without any caveats. Due to the nature of work and asset protection, the successful candidate must be a UK national or, in MoD-approved cases, a Dual National from a non-ITAR country.
