Data Governace Tool Speclialist

” The Job Description”

• Lead the setup, configuration, and maintenance of data governance and metadata tools such as OvalEdge, Informatica EDC, and Collibra.
• Build and maintain enterprise data catalogs, data dictionaries, business glossaries, and lineage across systems.
• Collaborate with Data Stewards, Data Engineers, and Business Analysts to collect metadata and map data flows between systems.
• Enable automation of metadata ingestion from various sources like data warehouses, data lakes, BI tools, ETL processes, etc.
• Implement metadata harvesting and ensure ongoing synchronization of metadata across environments.
• Define and enforce metadata and governance standards, taxonomy, and data classification.
• Provide access control management, ensuring the right users have the correct roles and permissions across tools.
• Develop training materials and provide user training to increase adoption and understanding of governance tools.
• Monitor platform usage, performance, and user engagement to improve tool efficiency and ROI.
• Work with Compliance, Security, and Architecture teams to ensure governance tooling meets regulatory and security requirements (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
