Develop and review HVAC system design drawings, specifications, and equipment schedules to ensure compliance with industry standards. Collaborate with architects and other engineering disciplines to integrate HVAC systems seamlessly into building designs. Select appropriate HVAC equipment, including chillers, boilers, and air handling units, based on efficiency, cost, and environmental impact. Perform energy modeling and analysis to propose energy-efficient HVAC solutions that meet sustainability goals. Prepare technical reports and documentation for HVAC designs, ensuring clarity and accuracy for clients and stakeholders. Coordinate with contractors and vendors during the installation phase to ensure adherence to design specifications and quality standards. Conduct field surveys and site assessments to gather data for system design and evaluate existing HVAC systems. Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and regulatory changes to inform design practices and enhance system performance. Provide technical support and troubleshooting for HVAC systems during and post-installation to resolve issues effectively. Desired Candidate Profile Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in HVAC system design within commercial or industrial sectors. Knowledge of ASHRAE standards, local building codes, and energy efficiency regulations to ensure compliant designs. Strong analytical skills to interpret data and optimize HVAC system performance through innovative solutions. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey complex technical information to diverse audiences. Capable of working collaboratively in a team environment while also possessing strong independent project management skills. Detail-oriented approach with a strong emphasis on quality assurance throughout the design and implementation phases.
