Role Overview

Role Overview Nakhla is seeking an experienced Senior Backend Developer to take ownership of core backend systems, drive architectural decisions, and help scale the platform as we grow. The ideal candidate is highly skilled in designing distributed systems, building reliable APIs, and creating maintainable, high-quality services that power intelligent automation products.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs that support Nakhlas core applications and data pipelines.
• Architect scalable, secure, and high-performance backend systems that can evolve with product needs.
• Collaborate closely with product, frontend, and machine learning teams to deliver end-to-end features.
• Optimize database schemas, queries, and data flows for high efficiency and robustness.
• Implement automated testing, monitoring, and deployment pipelines to ensure production stability.
• Review code, mentor engineers, and promote best practices in engineering, security, and documentation.
• Participate in technical planning, architecture discussions, and system design reviews.
• Diagnose issues across distributed services and ensure high-quality observability and debugging workflows.
