Our Engineering Transformation team works to improve the quality of our Engineering processes.

Partner with the best As a Turbomachinery Application Engineer, you will be responsible for developing creative and robust solutions and turning them into effective proposals for Baker Hughes''s customer / client base.

Responsibilities

• Preparing the technical proposals of rotating equipment (auxiliary systems) and participating in negotiating proposed solutions, including but not limited to technical solutions and cost, etc.
• Preparing, within the required timeline, the most attractive technical proposal at first submission (i.e. including but not limited to the selection of rotating equipment and its auxiliary systems) using ITO tools and following ITO policies and procedures and implementing, where appropriate, innovative technology (NPD).
• Leading techno-commercial discussions with clients on configuration, performance, and economics while interfacing with the commercial / sales team.
• Applying product and quality policies, addressing, and mitigating risks per Baker Hughes / BH procedures.
• Presenting the overall technical picture to senior leaders on how the proposal is fulfilling the overall strategy to win.
• Documenting effectively all communications, technical specifications, costing rationales, etc., to facilitate smooth handoff to the Order To Remittance team.
• Communicating across the direct organisation.
• Connecting the dots across technologies and developing cross-technology solutions; works on cross-functional projects / teams to deliver technology solutions for the business. Communicates across the function in the area of expertise.
