We are seeking a highly skilled

Database Specialist

with expertise in PostgreSQL to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the stability, performance, and scalability of our database systems, while contributing to modernization and cloud adoption initiatives. Responsibilities

Install and configure Postgres databases to ensure optimal setup and operation. Monitor and optimize database performance, analyzing and resolving bottlenecks. Perform and monitor regular database backups. Maintain and monitor DB logs and error logs to identify and resolve issues proactively. Manage database security by configuring user roles, permissions, and authentication protocols. Troubleshoot and resolve database issues, working closely with the application team to address database-related problems. Monitor and manage database growth and storage capacity, ensuring systems scale appropriately. Design and implement high availability and DR solutions. Qualifications

2+ years of PostgreSQL DBA experience Expertise in High Availability & Disaster Recovery (HADR) : streaming replication, failover, backup / restore strategies Familiarity with monitoring tools and automation Perform regular database tuning, query optimization, and index management. Participate in database migration and modernization initiatives, including cloud adoption and containerization. Preferred : Experience with cloud platforms (Oracle, or GCP) Preferred : Kubernetes, Terraform, and PostgreSQL certifications. Details
