Job Description Purpose of the Job The Assistant Operations Manager at Aramex will support the Operations Manager in overseeing daily operational activities, ensuring efficiency and compliance with company standards, and involves leading projects aimed at continuous improvement, mentoring team members, and enhancing customer experience.
Prepare, monitor, and control all cash-related shipments (CC or COD), ensuring compliance Assist in performing gap analysis on current office operations versus SLAs and new experience mandates, and support projects to bridge identified gaps.
Collaborate on multiple projects across operations teams, driving initiatives for continuous improvement and superior customer experiences.
Conduct root cause analysis on significant issues in ground operations and contribute to innovative problem-solving efforts.
Assist in performing audits and generating reports that showcase the health of projects at the office level.
Mentor and support the development of operation leaders for future management roles within the Aramex operational network.
Help maintain a healthy and safe workplace environment in compliance with safety regulations.
Observe employee practices to ensure adherence to safety protocols during operations.
Support the management of the Info AXS system for accurate and timely reporting.
Assist in developing action plans for auditing domestic operations, addressing discrepancies as necessary.
Help ensure the outbound domestic cycle (weighing, coding, sorting, etc.) is executed according to Aramex standards.
Assist in preparing and analyzing outbound performance reports to identify areas for improvement.
Support the creation of tailored domestic services based on customer needs in coordination with account management.
Assist in ensuring compliance with inbound operations standards, including recovery, reconciliation, and Proof of Delivery entry.
Conduct performance analyses to track outstanding shipments and discrepancies and report findings to the Operations Manager.
Job Requirements - Experience and Education
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Logistics, or a related field.
5-7 years’ experience in operations management or a similar role, preferably in logistics.
Understanding of safety standards and operational compliance.
MS Office Applications (Word, Excel & Outlook).
