Job description

Cleaning & Household Management

  • Oversee cleaning staff / schedule cleaners
  • Declutter and organize storage areas, closets, and common spaces
  • Refill household supplies (toiletries, paper goods, cleaning products, etc.)

Food & Kitchen Support

  • Grocery shopping or placing grocery delivery orders
  • Stocking pantry and fridge with preferred items
  • Meal prep assistance or coordination with chef / cook (if applicable)
  • Organize kitchen and track expiry dates of food
  • Plan weekly menus (if requested)
  • Set / clear table for meals
  • Ensure dishes are loaded / unloaded from dishwasher
  • Handle occasional event catering or dinner party prep
  • Scheduling & Coordination

  • Manage family calendar (appointments, meetings, school events, etc.)
  • Book medical, dental, grooming, or beauty appointments
  • Schedule home service
  • Plan and book travel (flights, hotels, transport, itinerary management)
  • Remind employer of important dates (birthdays, anniversaries, bill due dates)
  • Administrative & Errand Support

  • Run errands (post office, pharmacy, returns, etc.)
  • File paperwork and receipts
  • Assist with household budgeting and expense tracking
  • Prepare documents or manage light admin tasks
  • Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and service providers
  • Maintain household inventory and asset lists
  • Pet Care

  • Check feeding, walking, cleaning and grooming of pets
  • Schedule and accompany vet visits
  • Order pet food and supplies
  • Childcare Support (if applicable)

  • Babysit occasionally or supervise play (only in case of emergencies)
  • Property Oversight

  • Ensure all appliances and systems are in working order
  • Report any needed repairs promptly
  • Be on-site during home repairs or deliveries
  • Prepare home for guest stays (clean linens, stocked guest rooms)
  • Handle seasonal tasks (e.g., holiday decor, storm prep, pool readiness)
  • Special Requests / Personalized Tasks

  • Gift shopping and wrapping
  • Event planning (birthdays, dinners, holidays)
  • Styling support or wardrobe management
  • Manage online orders, returns, and exchanges
  • Coordinate household staff schedules
  • Support with social media or personal branding (if applicable)
  • House-sitting or pet-sitting during travel
  • Staff Management & Recruiting

  • Identify staffing needs and write job descriptions
  • Post job listings, review resumes, and conduct interviews
  • Perform background checks and reference calls
  • Train new hires and ensure onboarding documents are completed
  • Manage household staff schedules and time off
  • Mediate any interpersonal or performance issues within the team
  • Maintain payroll records (or coordinate with accountant / payroll service)
