The Architect Engineer is responsible for designing, planning, and overseeing the construction and maintenance of building projects. The role ensures that architectural designs meet functional, aesthetic, sustainability, and safety standards while complying with local regulations and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

Develop architectural designs, drawings, and specifications using relevant design software.

Coordinate with structural, electrical, and mechanical engineers to ensure design integration.

Review and approve architectural plans, shop drawings, and material submittals.

Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure compliance with approved designs.

Advise on the selection of materials, finishes, and construction methods.

Ensure all designs comply with building codes, regulations, and environmental standards.

Participate in project meetings and provide technical input on architectural issues.

Prepare design presentations and documentation for client approvals.

Support tendering processes by preparing BOQs and technical specifications.

Manage revisions and updates to design documents throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering (Master’s preferred).

Professional license or registration (e.g., Saudi Council of Engineers or equivalent) is an advantage.

Proficiency in design and modeling software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Suite.

Knowledge of local and international building codes and standards.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years of experience in architectural design and construction projects.

Strong technical and visualization skills with attention to detail.

Excellent project management and coordination abilities.

Strong communication and presentation skills in English (Arabic is an advantage).

Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and under tight deadlines.
