Woodston Personnel is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Consultant in Pediatric Emergency Medicine to join our clients dynamic Emergency Department. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of high-quality specialized emergency care for children in a leading healthcare institution committed to clinical excellence innovation and compassionate care.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide expert clinical care to pediatric patients presenting with emergency conditions.
- Lead and supervise the pediatric emergency team including junior doctors, nurses and allied health professionals.
- Ensure timely and accurate assessment, diagnosis and treatment of acute pediatric emergencies.
- Participate in the development and implementation of clinical guidelines, policies and best practices within the pediatric emergency department.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.
- Provide teaching, training and mentorship to residents, fellows and medical students.
- Participate in quality improvement, audit activities and clinical governance initiatives.
- Contribute to departmental research and continuing professional development programs.

Job requirements
Essential Qualifications (One of the following certifications is required) :
American Board Certification in Pediatrics (with Pediatric Emergency Medicine subspecialty certification)Canadian Board Certification (FRCPC in Pediatrics with PEM subspecialty)CCT / CCST in Pediatrics with sub-specialization in Pediatric Emergency Medicine (UK)Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP Pediatrics & PEM)Facharzt in Pediatrics (Germany / Europe) with additional training in Pediatric Emergency MedicineCompletion of a structured accredited 23-year Pediatric Emergency Medicine Fellowship Program is mandatory.
Minimum 34 years of independent practice post board certification and fellowship in Pediatric Emergency Medicine at a consultant level or equivalent.
