Job Summary The
Products Sourcing Manager
is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and managing suppliers of oil, petrochemical, and industrial chemical products. The incumbent will lead sourcing strategies, supplier negotiations, and market analysis to secure best‑value deals while maintaining compliance with local and international regulations.
Job Responsibilities
Develop and execute sourcing strategies for base oils, lubricants, solvents, petrochemical intermediates, and other industrial chemicals.
Conduct supplier market mapping, benchmarking, and due diligence across regional and global markets.
Negotiate commercial terms, price structures, delivery schedules, and payment terms with approved vendors.
Establish long‑term supply agreements to ensure continuity, competitiveness, and risk mitigation.
Build and maintain strong relationships with local and international suppliers, traders, and refineries.
Monitor supplier performance through KPIs such as cost competitiveness, quality, reliability, and compliance.
Resolve supply issues, quality deviations, and delivery delays promptly and effectively.
Analyze global oil and chemical market trends, pricing indices, and supply‑demand movements.
Identify new sources, alternative products, and substitutes to optimize procurement costs.
Provide regular market reports and forecasts to management for trading and pricing decisions.
Ensure compliance with Saudi import / export regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.
Assess risks related to suppliers, logistics, and product quality and propose mitigation plans.
Work closely with Operations, Sales, and Finance to align sourcing plans with project and trading requirements.
Support new business development initiatives by identifying reliable suppliers for new product lines.
Collaborate with logistics to ensure optimized shipping and warehousing solutions.
Qualifications & Experience
Education :
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Business Administration, or any related field.
Experience : Minimum
7–10 years
in oil, petrochemical, or chemical trading and sourcing, preferably within Saudi Arabia or GCC markets.
Industry Knowledge :
Strong understanding of base oils, solvents, specialty chemicals, and petrochemical derivatives markets.
Skills
Proven negotiation and contract management skills.
Strong analytical and commercial acumen.
Knowledge of international trading terms (Incoterms), pricing indices (Platts, Argus), and logistics coordination.
Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office tools.
Excellent communication skills in English (Arabic is an asset).
