Software Engineering Manager

, your daily responsibilities might include : Managing and mentoring a team of engineers to design, develop, and maintain product features. Ensuring code and design quality meet industry’s best practices and high standards. Coaching and mentoring team members on high-level design, architecture, effort estimation, and testing practices. Providing feedback on engineers’ performance. Supporting engineers’ learning and development plans. Initiating hiring processes and resource allocation for the team. Removing impediments or guiding the team to do so. Overseeing the software development process implementation. Qualifications BSc / MS in Computer Science or related field from a top university. At least 10 years of software engineering experience, preferably in SaaS or large-scale distributed applications. Previous experience in team leadership. Strong communication skills and ability to convey technical solutions to both end-users and engineering teams. Experience with multiple programming languages and a drive to continuously learn and improve technical skills. Understanding of system design and distributed computing principles. Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases such as HBase, Cassandra, and MongoDB. Knowledge of Scrum and other software development methodologies.
