Provide support to customers in the maritime industry globally to help them achieve profitable and sustainable results. We are a leading provider covering the wider Ocean economy, delivering high‑value assurance and mobilizing customers’ assets and operations.

Work collaboratively with technical specialists on a broad range of projects, lead and coordinate strategy and business advisory services, develop new business areas, and mentor team members.

Fixed‑term role of 2 years.

The Role

Coordinate multi‑disciplinary teams to develop integrated strategies and business solutions, providing subject‑matter expert advice to key clients.

Lead and participate in projects focused on operations transformation, efficiency improvement, operating‑model design, business‑side support of system implementations, and more.

Work across the investment value chain with a focus on tech‑commercial due diligence, process optimisation and supply chain.

Manage technical and commercial aspects of bid development and project delivery, leveraging expertise from the global LR group.

Support business development through opportunity identification, proposal development, and thought leadership.

Develop client relationships through interactions with client personnel and participate in business development activities.

Contribute to engagement planning, ensuring that products and deliverables meet contract / work‑plan requirements.

Gather data and research information from a variety of sources to produce clear, well‑written technical reports.

Deliver work to an excellent standard, reviewing the work of others on time and to budget.

Assess and recommend the time / value of work to be undertaken for internal or external clients within an agreed fee / cost structure.

Discuss and present deliverables to internal or external clients, suggesting alternative solutions when appropriate.

Pursue continuous professional development and maintain a high degree of discipline and knowledge awareness.

Assist in service‑delivery improvement by communicating client feedback as appropriate.

Coach other employees as appropriate, disseminating information to achieve effective knowledge transfer and application.

What you bring

Minimum engineering or bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) with a master’s in management.

Minimum 5 years of experience in business / management consulting, preferably from well‑known consulting firms.

Significant experience in the maritime industry with a focus on ports and the maritime sector.

Conducted port & maritime consultancy studies, e.g., port development strategy, data analysis, capacity calculations, green and smart port feasibility studies.

Demonstrated understanding of consulting service offerings and ability to communicate their value.

Experience using structured problem‑solving approaches and frameworks.

Experience conducting analysis (desktop research, data analysis, reviewing documents, interviews) and synthesising into digestible outputs (reports, presentations).

Experience creating business‑development materials.

Highly effective written and verbal communication skills and ability to build strong client relationships.

Ability to prioritise and work effectively under pressure.

Strong facilitation skills adaptable to different situations and communication styles.

Strong ability to manage client needs in a confident, professional manner.

Strong report‑writing and presentation skills, with the ability to review others’ work for quality.

Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate ideas effectively.

Flexibility, adaptability and willingness to take on new challenges across LR or client office locations.

High self‑motivation, enthusiasm, and commitment to delivering sustainable outcomes.

Proficiency in Arabic and English commensurate with the work.
