Job Description

We are seeking a Chief Steward to join Faena The Red Sea, where luxury meets artistry on one of the world’s most breathtaking coastlines. This role requires a meticulous, hands-on leader who understands that stewarding is more than logistics—it is the foundation upon which extraordinary guest experiences are built.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all stewarding operations, maintaining immaculate cleanliness and sanitation across kitchens, back-of-house, and food service areas.
  • Oversee the care, maintenance, and safe use of kitchen equipment, dishwashing systems, and stewarding tools.
  • Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, chemicals, and equipment, ensuring efficiency, sustainability, and cost control.
  • Organize schedules and duty assignments to align with the pace of operations and special events.
  • Implement effective waste management and recycling programs in line with Faena’s sustainability ethos and local regulations.
  • Conduct inspections to guarantee readiness for internal and external health audits, maintaining the highest global standards.
  • Partner with the Executive Chef, HACCP team, and F&B leaders to mitigate risks and enforce strict hygiene and safety protocols.
  • Train, coach, and inspire stewarding staff, fostering pride, discipline, and performance excellence.
  • Provide clear expectations, objective feedback, and developmental guidance to build a motivated, future-ready team.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative culture that reflects Faena’s values of artistry, innovation, and excellence.
  • Ensure full compliance with HACCP, sanitation, food safety, and occupational health requirements.

Qualifications

  • At least 3-years experience in a Chief Steward role within a 5-star luxury hotel, international resort, or ultra-luxury hospitality environment.
  • Hotel Pre-opening experience is highly advantageous.
  • Strong expertise in HACCP, sanitation, hygiene, and occupational health standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop large, multicultural teams with precision and empathy.
  • Experience managing waste reduction, sustainability initiatives, inventory management system and cost control in a high-volume operation.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • A detail-driven leader with a proactive, hands-on approach and a passion for supporting culinary excellence.
