Function : MANUFACTURING
Department : Technical – Manufacturing
Reports to : Head of Technical
Lead the planning and scheduling of maintenance activities across all Manufacturing assets and equipment, including utilities, mixing, processing, filling, packaging and palletizing equipment, as well as buildings and infrastructure. Ensure maintenance tasks are executed efficiently, safely and cost effectively, while minimizing downtime and maximizing asset reliability.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance plans
- Manage spare parts inventory and procurement to ensure availability without overstocking, ensuring strict adherence to procedures
- Oversee the maintenance planning process using relevant tools and software
- Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations in all maintenance activities
- Ensure all manufacturing equipment is maintained in its original, standard (baseline) condition, at all times
- Monitor and analyze equipment performance data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities
- Coordinate with operations, production, and engineering teams to align maintenance schedules with operational priorities
- Develop, monitor and report KPIs related to maintenance scheduling and execution activities, such as planned downtime, MTBF, MTTR, conversion cost, schedule compliance, etc
- Participate in budget planning and cost control for maintenance operations
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in maintenance planning and reliability practices
- Provide technical support and training to maintenance and / or production personnel as needed
- Lead a team of maintenance and stand in for department Head
- Manage maintenance work orders, backlogs, and asset histories using SAP system
- Coordinate maintenance shutdowns and major overhauls with minimal impact on operations
- Implement and maintain maintenance planning standards and best practices
- Implement 5S in all workshops and spare parts store
Qualifications / Skills
Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering), or a related fieldExtensive knowledge of utilities operation & maintenance (Refrigeration, Water, Compressed air, steam and power supply system)Extensive knowledge of processing, filling, and packaging equipment operation and maintenance (Tetra-pak, GEA, SIG, GRAM etc)Minimum 7–10 years of experience in maintenance planning, with at least 5 years in a managerial roleMinimum 3-5 years of experience in the food industry, preferably in the dairy industryStrong knowledge of CMMS platforms and maintenance best practices (TPM, Lean etc)ERP knowledge, preferably SAPProven experience in leading teams and managing cross-functional coordinationExcellent leadership and team development skillsAbility to manage multiple tasks and prioritiesStrong problem-solving skills and decision-making skillsProficient in MS Office, in particular Word, Excel and PowerPoint#J-18808-Ljbffr
