King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST)

The KAUST Global Postdoctoral Fellowship Program supports outstanding early-career scientists and engineers from around the world to pursue independent, cutting-edge research for three years at KAUST. Fellows develop innovative projects aligned with KAUST’s strategic priorities :

Economies of the Future
Energy & Industrial Leadership
3-year contract (evaluation at end of Year 2)
Annual stipend : USD 75,000
Independent research budget : Up to USD 40,000 / year
Access to world-class research infrastructure (supercomputers, cryo-EM, cleanrooms, Red Sea research vessels, core labs)
Housing, health insurance, relocation support, school fees (up to 2 children), daycare subsidy, and annual travel allowance
Career development in leadership, teaching, and mentoring
PhD in relevant discipline, awarded after January 2022
≤ 4 years post-PhD experience
Strong communication skills and fluency in English
Research proposal aligned with KAUST priorities
Support letter from a KAUST faculty host
