Engineer I, Technical Mechanical

Job Purpose :

To take a lead technical role in the design, analysis, and implementation of complex mechanical systems and components. The Senior Mechanical Engineer is responsible for driving engineering excellence, ensuring compliance with international standards, and delivering high-quality solutions that improve reliability, performance, and safety.

Key Responsibilities :

Lead advanced design and analysis of mechanical systems using engineering software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, ANSYS, MATLAB).

Review and approve engineering drawings, technical specifications, and calculations in line with international standards such as ASME, API, and ISO.

Manage and oversee the execution of mechanical engineering projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.

Provide expert technical support to maintenance and operations teams in troubleshooting and resolving complex mechanical issues.

Conduct risk assessments and contribute to root cause analysis (RCA) for critical equipment failures.

Develop and implement engineering standards, best practices, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Mentor and support junior engineers and technicians by providing technical guidance and knowledge sharing.

Coordinate with cross-functional teams including electrical, instrumentation, process, procurement, and safety to ensure project integration.

Prepare and present technical reports, proposals, and project documentation to stakeholders and management.

Qualifications and Requirements :

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s degree is a plus).

5+ years of relevant experience in mechanical design, project execution, or maintenance in industrial environments.

Proficiency in engineering tools such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, ANSYS, and other mechanical simulation software.

Strong knowledge of international codes and standards (e.g., ASME, API, ISO).

Demonstrated ability to manage projects and lead engineering tasks independently.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written).

Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and mentor junior staff.
