Manager, Indirect Tax

Responsibilities

Supervise Indirect tax compliance activities (VAT, REIT..). Ensure adherence to all applicable Indirect direct tax laws and by-laws. Manage the preparation and filing of Indirect tax returns (VAT, REIT..). Audit and Controversy management. Prepare for Indirect tax audits and ensure compliance with audit requirements. Prepare Indirect tax objections and appeals. Communication and reporting. Liaise with relevant authorities (e.g., ZATCA) on Indirect tax matters. Support budgeting and forecasting activities related to Indirect tax. Prepare periodic reports on Indirect tax activities and achievements. Serve as the primary point of contact for Indirect tax-related inquiries from internal and external stakeholders. Build and maintain strong relationships with tax authorities, internal and external stakeholders, and stay abreast of industry trends and best practices. Team Leadership and Management : Lead and manage the Indirect tax team, providing guidance, coaching, and mentorship. Allocate tasks effectively and monitor performance to ensure timely and accurate completion of Indirect tax-related activities. Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment to encourage team productivity and professional development.

Financial Risk Management : Assess and manage financial risks associated with Indirect tax compliance and reporting. Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations that may impact the organization's financial risk profile.

Cross-functional Collaboration : Provide Indirect tax-related support and guidance for business initiatives, transactions, and projects. Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to facilitate coordination and integration of Indirect tax considerations into business decisions.
