Officer, Dietitian

Responsibilities

Responsible for the day-to-day management and supervision of the dietetics service provided.

Plans & implements for nutrition care for patients

Provides nutrition education for patients and care givers

Calculates nutrient and caloric intake for patients

Edits diet patterns and menus for patients

Checks patient's trays for accuracy

Work to ensure effective medical nutrition therapy, health promotion, and lifestyle management

Ensure implementation of a continuous, accurate and effective Nutrition Care Process (NCP) for all patients

Manage food service to ensure food safety and quality as part of continuously monitoring and enhancing patient meal

Skills

Certified Clinical Dietitian Specialist by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS)

Ability to relate well to other health professionals, patients, and their relatives.

Effective communication skills, with ability to impress upon patients and their relatives the importance and benefit in pursuing healthy eating habits.

Ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural environment.

Ability to monitor, maintain and supervise the departmental processes and policies
