Qiddiya Investment Company is looking for a Senior Manager - Geotechnical to lead the geotechnical engineering efforts for our ambitious development projects. This role will involve overseeing geotechnical investigations and analyses, ensuring that our projects are designed with safe and efficient ground engineering solutions. The successful candidate will play a key role in the integration of geotechnical data into the overall design and construction processes, contributing to the success of Qiddiya’s vision.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead geotechnical investigations, including site assessments, soil sampling, and laboratory testing to determine soil properties.
  • Develop and oversee geotechnical engineering analyses, including slope stability, foundation design, and earth retention systems.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and civil engineers to ensure that geotechnical considerations are integrated into project designs.
  • Review and approve geotechnical reports and design calculations, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.
  • Manage relationships with external geotechnical consultants and contractors, ensuring quality deliverables and adherence to project timelines.
  • Monitor construction activities related to geotechnical works, providing expert guidance and recommendations as required.
  • Implement risk assessment processes to identify and mitigate geotechnical risks during the project lifecycle.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide technical support to project teams regarding geotechnical challenges.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices in geotechnical engineering.
  • Contribute to the development of a knowledge base to enhance Qiddiya’s geotechnical engineering capabilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, preferably in large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Proven track record in managing geotechnical investigations and analyses, with experience in foundation design and ground improvement techniques.
  • Strong knowledge of geotechnical software and tools for analysis and design.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience in project management and familiarity with quality assurance processes.
  • Registered professional engineer (PE) or equivalent certification is preferred.
