Al-Musbah Trading Group (AMG) is a diversified holding company based in the commercial hub of Saudi Arabia. AMG has recently secured a long-term contract to operate the VIP lounges of all 13 major airports in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. AMG plans to develop existing infrastructure into world-class facilities that include amenities such as high-end retail / duty free, limousine services, massage parlor, gourmet catering, business centers, tourism, and accommodations. In the coming year, a transition to a newly designed management information system, key personnel, and design will be put into effect.

Position : Systems and Applications Manager (SAM)

The SAM will be a mission critical and core member of the project team. With 13 lounges under management, the SAM will be responsible for the smooth operation of the MIS system which will incorporate accounting, access controls, scheduling, baggage tracking, client database, POS’s, and the many more verticals expected over time for the entire operation. There are +200,000 VIPs that pass through the lounges every year.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in either commerce, business administration, or an IT-related field.
  • MBA or Masters in Management Information Systems (Masters is favorable, but not required).
  • Strong qualifications in both business / management and IT / MIS.
  • At least 3-5 years of working experience in aspects of both business / management as well as IT / MIS.
  • Expert-level proficiency at designing and deploying MIS systems from concept stage to implementation.
  • Experience in software programming.
  • Experience in working in and managing teams.
  • Sound understanding of business process engineering, accounting systems, and the various other key functions of an enterprise system.
  • Experience in an MNC or working on projects for MNCs based abroad will be an advantage.

  • Able to evaluate business processes and technology requirements in a retail environment
  • Strong communication skills for a multi-cultural work environment
  • Ability to speak and draft technical and business documentation in English
  • Able to work in a high-pressure environment and meet deadlines when required
  • Strong attention to detail, yet focus on achieving overall objectives
  • Job Specification :

  • Taking a lead in developing the MIS system
  • Testing and implementation of the system on a strict timeline
  • Constant monitoring and evaluation of the system
  • 24 / 7 Troubleshooting
  • Central control / administrator duties for all 13 (or more) sites
  • Modification of the system to incorporate new businesses or change processes
  • Develop a robust reporting function
  • Analyze business processes in the lounges and suggest changes for enhanced efficiency
  • Liaison and work with in-house software development team to build system
