Job Purpose
As the Project Management Office (PMO) Manager at the Esports World Cup Foundation, your primary role is to lead the implementation and continuous improvement of project management processes and methodologies. You will play a critical role in ensuring effective project delivery, optimizing resource allocation, and enhancing overall organizational efficiency. Your work will contribute to the successful execution of strategic initiatives, events, and projects within the dynamic esports landscape.
Duties And Responsibilities
PMO & Project Portfolio Management
- Work on the project portfolio, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and priorities
- Be the point of contact with regard to project status, risks, required support, and next steps
- Facilitate coordination between verticals, drive collaboration, and provide direction, mentorship, and support to other program managers
Project Governance, Project Monitoring and Reporting
Develop, implement, and manage project management processes, methodologies, templates, and tools in line with best practicesEstablish project monitoring and reporting mechanisms to track project progress, identify risks, and communicate project status to stakeholdersAnalyse project data and metrics to identify areas for improvement, inform decision-makingEvaluate project requests, and prioritize initiatives to manage resource allocationOptimize resource utilization, identify and address resource constraintsEnsure project delivery within budget and timeline constraintsSupport preparation of communication materials to relevant stakeholders, especially management team and BoDRisk Management & Continuous Improvement
Develop and maintain a risk management framework and escalation proceduresImplement risk management processes to identify, assess, and mitigate project risksIdentify opportunities for process improvement and PMO enhancement, and drive initiatives to improve project management practicesStay updated on industry best practices and emerging project management trendsPartner with others / stakeholders
Work closely with internal stakeholders (especially esports, Sales and Marketing, Commercial, and shared services) to understand their needs and objectivesEducation And Experience
5+ years of proven experience in project management, with project experience in a diverse spectrum of functions (e.g. commercial, go-to-market, marketing / branding / communication, internal functions, organization, and performance management)University degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; relevant experience may be considered.Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Proven track record of working in a project-based, multi-stakeholder environmentStrong analytical and strategic thinking skillsProven ability to develop presentations for the management team / BoDA good background in developing strategiesStrong knowledge of project management tools and Microsoft Office / Google SuiteExcellent written and verbal communication skills in English and ArabicFamiliarity with the Saudi Arabian market and cultural nuancesBenefits
