Senior Director-Technical Services (Theme Park) - ENT5289
Qiddiya Investment Company is seeking a dynamic and innovative Senior Director - Technical Services (Theme Park) to lead the technical operations of our theme park facilities. This pivotal role focuses on ensuring that the technical services necessary for the design, construction, and operation of world-class theme park attractions are executed seamlessly in line with Qiddiya's vision.
As the Senior Director of Technical Services, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of technical services, including engineering, maintenance, safety, and operational readiness. Your leadership will contribute to the successful rollout of theme park attractions and ensure ongoing excellence in operations, sustainability, and guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership and Management in all aspects of Technical Services Department management

- Pre-Opening of a world class park, including project management skills, pre-opening inspections, testing and commissioning and equipment handovers
- Management of daily Technical Services operations including Attractions, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Carpentry, Facilities, Animatronics, Engineering and Preventative Maintenance
- Strong knowledge and implementation of health and safety regulations, especially related to ride safety maintenance and facilities
- Development & implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), including auditing systems
- Working with International IP Attractions preferred
- Service Excellence & Quality standards
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Deep understanding of service delivery, including different types of maintenance to prevent and minimize downtime, manage assets, create reports and analytics, manage inventory and work order management
- Experience with global quality standards programs (ISO, CQI, etc)
- Financial Acumen
- Budget preparation and cost control expertise
- Financial data analysis for strategic decision-making
- Long term financial planning and achieving EBITDA / Revenue targets, including OPEX and CAPEX plans
- Sales & Marketing
- Support ideas and campaigns to expand target markets, drive visitation, and improve brand awareness
- Collaborate with others to innovate and adapt to trends and improve guest journeys
- Maintain brand standards and IP requirements
- Technical Proficiency
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with relevant software programs (CMMS, BMS, Asset Management software)

- Great communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to support and develop others in a multicultural environment
- Strong organizational skills, adaptability and ability to perform under pressure

Requirements
Bachelor's Degree preferably in Engineering, technical fields, Mechanical, or other relevant technical fields. Master’s degree (MBA, Strategic Management, or related) preferred for enhanced leadership and strategic skillsProven experience of at least 10 years in leading the opening and operations of an international theme park in at least 2 countries (preferably at least 1 regionally to KSA), with an annual attendance of at least 1 million visitors. Includes day-to-day management of Technical Services Department including Attractions, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Carpentry, Facilities, Animatronics, Engineering and Preventative MaintenanceAt least 10 years of proven success in leadership and ability to manage large 100+ multicultural teams effectively, and creating a culture of operational excellence and safetyProven operational knowledge and expertise in developing and leading all Technical Services processes & procedures based on industry standardsProven success in strategic planning and execution to drive equipment availability, minimize downtime, and achieve financial results; budgeting, forecasting, and cost controlProven success in safety programs and systems; familiarity with ISO, ASTM, EN; ability to lead risk and crisis managementExperience developing, leading and implementing performance management systems with measurable results and KPI-driven optimizationAbility to innovate and adapt to industry and business trends; experience with technology-driven solutions and data analytics is a plusProven track record of delivering exceptional service delivery with programs to prevent downtime, manage assets, generate reports and analytics, manage inventory and work ordersBenefits
