Responsibilities

• Under direct supervision, perform assignments requiring knowledge and application of basic engineering principles.
• Learn chemical processes and what happens in those processes. Learn a small process area or a single piece of equipment.
• Learn the operations, metrics, governmental, environmental and contractual requirements of the operation to which you are assigned.
• Assist in day-to-day surveillance of operations, run Engineering Applications, and conduct simple performance analysis, benchmarking and evaluation.
• Participate in risk assessments, forecast and plan medium-term needs to meet operational requirements, and respond to operational changes and needs in their area or to a single piece of equipment.
• Participate in the creation of Approvals for Expenditure (AFE) and studies to solve recurring operational problems.
• Prepare reports and learn from knowledge management processes.
