Field Service Engineer – BESS

The Harry James Group are working in partnership with a recognised leading developer of utility-scale energy storage who are currently expanding due to current and new projects secured. The position of the Field Service Engineer will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and warranty repairs along with commissioning activities on energy storage units at various BESS sites. This role will report to the OM Manager.

Responsibilities :

• Perform field service activities in accordance with the long-term service agreement needs and the established work plan.
• Actively support the Project Team during the commissioning of battery energy storage systems and related equipment.
• Address technical and operational issues at customer installations promptly, report these issues, and propose product improvements to meet quality and cost targets.
• Maintain and enhance relationships with customers through effective communication and service.
• Prepare and present analytical service reports that include conclusions and recommendations for planned and unplanned maintenance resolving technical issues faced by customers.
• Serve as a local technical advisor in customer meetings as required.
• Generate service work reports and maintain accurate documentation related to site visits or customer interactions.
